What are the reasons for oily skin?

‘Sebum is the oil produced by our skin. The sebaceous gland in the hair follicle produces it,’ says Andrea Pfeffer, inventor of Pfeffer Sal. ‘The skin of our face contains more hair follicles per cm2 than the rest of our body, which is why oiliness is concentrated on the face. ‘The basic role of sebum is to lubricate the skin, limit bacteria growth, and prevent dryness and dehydration,’ says Pfeffer. The amount of sebum we generate is influenced by a variety of internal and environmental factors, including the cleanser we use (more on that later), the weather, heredity, and even hormones.

1. Get a Glimpse of Your Daily Cleaning Routine

When you have oily skin, you may feel compelled to wash your face at every opportunity. But, according to facialist Joanne Evans, your habit of frequently washing your face may be making matters worse.

‘It may appear obvious that removing the skin’s oil would be the greatest approach to clear oily skin, but over-cleansing actually promotes further oil production,’ she explains. Simply said, if you scrub your face so much that you remove its natural – and required – sebum reserves, the skin will compensate by creating more.

Before I continue with what i am talking about, are you having difficulties loosing belly fat?

I had the same issue after giving birth to my first child.. I needed a change!

I had gaining so much weight :(

I knew I had to change something. One day, I stumbled upon this short video!

I cant tell you how it really helped me push through and start working on myself and gain my confidence back!

Since then, I always go and watch this video to stay strong and motivated! I hope the video encourages you as well!.

So, let's continue with the post..

‘Sebum is essential for skin function, and over-cleansing the skin causes more problems than it solves, including increased oil production,’ Pfeffer agrees.

Choosing the right cleanser is obviously important, but with so many options like milk and gels, foams, and water, it can be difficult to know which is ideal for an oily face.

Pfeffer recommends using a cream or milk-based cleanser to remove grime and debris without disrupting the skin’s barrier function or natural moisture levels. ‘You can also use a cleanser that contains BHAs to help dissolve excess oil,’ she advises.

Also, that super-strength, alcohol-steeped cleanser that claims to be intended for oily skin is a ruse. This brings us to…

2. Avoid Products Designed For Oily Skin.

Products designed to reduce oiliness, believe it or not, frequently exacerbate the problem since they contain abrasive ingredients that sweep away every last drop of sebum from the face (and we all know what that means). Products containing alcohols, astringents, and sulfates, according to Pfeffer, are the primary culprits, so read the back of your bottle before buying. Simply a Very Practical Guide To Growing Your Nails
‘This means a lot of old-school toners and foamy cleansers are out — and for good reason!’ she explains. ‘While they may have a pleasant short-term impact by eliminating excess oil from the skin’s surface, the lack of oil in your skin will eventually cause excess oil production to compensate for the oil that has been stripped away.’ Furthermore, these harsh products may disrupt your skin’s acid layer, which serves as a protective barrier. Pfeffer says, “A disturbed skin barrier can contribute to irritation, breakouts, inflammation, and dehydration.” So, if any cosmetics in your routine are making your skin feel dry and tight, it’s time to get rid of them.

3. Don’t Forget Your Moisturizer

Skin can be oily or dehydrated, which is a frequent myth, but it can also be both. This means that skipping moisturizing products, which are crucial in every beauty routine – regardless of skin type – makes little sense. Hydrating creams are essential for maintaining moisture levels since, as we all know, when your skin is dehydrated, oil production can go into overdrive to compensate. But, before you reach for the first face cream that comes to mind, keep in mind that the product you choose is crucial. Avoid those that are super-creamy, heavy, and occlusive if you’re worried about blackheads and pimples, as well as that dreaded shine. ‘Thick, heavy moisturizers are prone to irritate your skin, so avoid any lotions containing rich plant butter, as they are likely to be overly rich and cause congestion,’ suggests Pfeffer.

4. CLEAR CALM

Salicylic Acid is a vital component in any skincare routine, but leave-on BHAs like salicylic acid is especially effective at controlling excessive oil production and preventing the formation of blackheads and pimples. ‘Salicylic acid is a lipophilic beta-hydroxy acid that is drawn to and helps break down excess oil,’ adds Pfeffer. ‘As an additional bonus, it’s anti-inflammatory and can penetrate pores to remove debris, making it an excellent ingredient for addressing the congestion that typically accompanies with oiliness.’

Ancient Japanese Tonic Melts Belly Fat Like Crazy!

Try this Ancient “Japanese Tonic” that Melts 54 LBS Of Fat (My Trick: Drink Daily Before 10am)

A maverick Japanese doctor recently leaked the secret ingredients of an ancient Japanese Tonic that targets the root cause of deep belly fat and activates a powerful little-known fat-burning hormone inside you…

that MELTS away all your stubborn body fat.

Firefighter Mike Banner’s 45-year-old sister, Susan, lost 54 pounds in only 7 weeks with no exercise due to osteoarthritis in her damaged knee.

Make sure to drink this tasty potent Japanese Tonic before 10AM to melt twice as much fat as 1 hour on a joint-destroying treadmill.

In fact, some folks are losing up to 33.5 lbs of fat in just 30 days by simply drinking this tonic daily before 10am.

A twice-daily exfoliation swiped over the face after cleansing is the ideal method to include salicylic acid into your routine. Just don’t make the mistake of rinsing it off: it won’t get rid of any greasiness nearly as well. Instead, if you’re using a salicylic acid cleanser, let it sit for two minutes before washing it off (a great opportunity for a little facial massage).

5. Take Care of Your Diet

Evans believes that the source of your oily skin problems could be in your intestines. ‘If you have oily skin, stay away from sweets and dairy since they feed and enhance oil production,’ she says. ‘Moreover, a diet lacking in zinc, magnesium, vitamin B, and omega 3 fatty acids may contribute to the formation of oil.’ Pfeffer agrees, proposing that we eat more zinc-rich foods in particular. ‘Zinc aids in the regulation of oil-producing glands, allowing them to function more effectively! Shellfish, legumes, and nuts are excellent sources.’ It’s also important to think about how much sugar you consume. ‘A high sugar intake can also boost oil production,’ argues Pfeffer, because insulin produces the hormone IGF-1, which can enhance sebum production.

6. Take into account your hormones

Internal hormone variations, according to Pfeffer, are one of the main reasons for oil imbalances. ‘Androgens, a type of hormone, cause sebum production to go into overdrive, resulting in oilier skin and, in some cases, breakouts.’ Androgens are released during stressful situations or during hormonal changes including the menstrual cycle, contraception, PCOS, puberty, pregnancy and postpartum, and menopause. Multiple studies have found a link between stress levels and sebum production in acne-prone individuals.

Of course, you can’t control these conditions, but you may try to preserve a sense of balance by paying attention to your sleep habits and stress levels.

7. Treat Yourself To A Clay Mask

Even though today’s cosmetic aisles are stacked high with ever-more-innovative formulations, the best treatments are sometimes the ones that have been around the longest. Pfeffer is quick to point out the advantages of a good old clay mask: ‘They’re excellent allies when it comes to addressing oiliness because they behave like sponges, absorbing excess oil,’ she says.

Thankfully, a mud mask doesn’t have to be expensive: simply opt for one that has French green or bentonite clay, as these are the most absorbent. Kaolin clay is also an excellent all-arounder.

8. Make an informed decision about your foundation.

Don’t limit yourself to long-wear liquid foundations if you have oily skin. Mineral powders have a lot of advantages: they’re mostly non-comedogenic (which means they won’t clog your pores), they’re extremely oil-absorbing, and they can easily be layered up throughout the day. Manage Oily Skin. If you prefer a liquid, that’s fine, too; just make sure you invest in a good setting powder to cement the deal. For oily complexions, the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder is my holy grail powder since it maintains face shine-free for hours on end,’ explains make-up artist Gabriella Floyd, who has her own oil-eliminating technique. My main advice is to use a damp Beautyblender to apply it,’ she says. ‘This helps you to properly push the powder into your skin and ensure that it doesn’t move during the day.’ It’s fine to use a pressed powder to keep your foundation from slipping off if you’re on the run, as long as it’s super-light.’
