Keep in mind, though, that it will make your skin more susceptible to the sun, so you’ll want to be especially vigilant and on top of your sunscreen game if you’re using lactic acid as part of your anti-aging regimen, says Linkner.

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a kind of hyaluronic

Hyaluronic acid, a popular moisturizing component, “acts like a sponge, pulling water to and then holding it in the skin,” says Linkner. This means that it can help plump up your skin and fill in small wrinkles in addition to moisturizing, according to Carqueville, because it can hold up to a thousand times its own weight in water.
