Over the last few years, I’ve drastically simplified my skincare routine. And my skin has never looked or felt better. There are no pricey scrubs or treatments here; just three simple organic powerhouse ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen.

When it comes to DIY skincare, I have a simple philosophy. It should be simple and efficient. The recipe I’m about to share with you easily checks both of those boxes.

Many traditional exfoliation preparations can be too harsh for sensitive skin. They frequently use abrasive substances that irritate your skin’s top layer.

Abrasive treatments, such as washes or brushes, are often not well tolerated by sensitive skin. It will also not respond well to harsh chemical exfoliants. Does this imply that you’ll always have dry, rough skin? Certainly not!

While the rough, scratchy stuff is probably okay, it isn’t actually necessary if you use the appropriate components. Today, we’ll stick to natural ingredients that have long been used to soothe sensitive skin.

I was shocked! I discovered a way to enjoy my morning coffee and fight the extra weight that was keeping me from seeing myself the way i wish!

What I love about it is that it is natural, Vegetarian, Non-GMO, Gluten free... Perfect for everyday use!

I felt a boost in my metabolism and amazingly, I didn't feel that much hungry as before!

EXFOLIATION: WHAT IS IT?

Healthy skin sheds on a regular basis. Skin cells shed fully in around 30 days as a result of regular turnover.

Skin that does not shed develops a lackluster appearance with dry spots over time. Reduced cell turnover is a common symptom of aging. Skin cells that clog pores and cause breakouts can be left behind.

This article delves deeper into why exfoliating is beneficial as well as the numerous methods.

WHY SHOULD YOU TAKE THIS ACTION?

As we age, our skin changes. What’s the point of exfoliation?

Removing worn out skin cells does more than just give your skin a healthy glow. It also allows moisturizing creams and other treatments to penetrate deeper, increasing their effectiveness over time.

WHICH INGREDIENTS ARE GOOD EXFOLIANTS?

Let’s look at which ingredients make the most sense and are readily available now that we know what and why.

Because exfoliating isn’t something you do once and then forget about, it’s best to pick a recipe that uses products you’re likely to have on hand.

I reduced it down to three alternatives after doing a lot of research:

At home, exfoliate sensitive skin

ORGANIC GREEK YOGURT, SIMPLE

Organic yogurt is not only beneficial for your insides (if you can eat dairy), but it’s also great for your skin. Yogurt contains lactic acid, which softens dead skin cells and functions as a light chemical exfoliator. It’s preferable to use yogurt as a mask to allow the lactic acid to do its job properly.

For this dish, I used Greek yogurt because it is thicker and creamier than regular yogurt. This not only makes it easier to apply, but it also ensures that it stays put.

Its cooling impact is especially calming on dry, irritated, or breakout-prone skin.

HONEY IS THE NATURAL STATE

Honey contains antimicrobial characteristics, which is fantastic news if you suffer from acne. As if that weren’t enough, honey is a great moisturizer and is high in antioxidants, which can help slow down the aging process.

Honey has been utilized for hundreds of years in beauty and healing remedies. As a result, it’s an absolute must-have for any relaxing, therapeutic mask.

Why do you want to eat it raw? It’s better to go for the cleanest ingredients in your natural skincare if you want to get the most out of it. They will have all of the advantages that nature has bestowed upon them.

In the FREE Resource Library, you’ll also find my favorite honey face cleanser recipe.

OATMEAL

When it comes to skin benefits, oatmeal is another strong contender. It includes antioxidants, just like honey. It’s also known for its relaxing effects on the skin. An oatmeal bath can help with eczema, sunburn, and dry, itchy skin.

Oatmeal is used as a gentle abrasive in this mask.

You can use rolled or quick oats for this dish, as demonstrated here. The crucial element is that the oats must be processed into a finer consistency, as demonstrated here:

Simply whirl in a small food processor, coffee grinder, or, as I did in our Nutribullet, a small food processor.

We use ours for a variety of things, and it’s really useful for short little chores like this one!

RECIPE FOR A GENTLE EXFOLIATING MASK: 1 tbsp ORGANIC GREEK YOGURT

1 tbsp oats, ground

1 teaspoon honey (raw)

Additional suggestions:

Grind a big batch of oats and keep them in the fridge for later.
Wait until you’re ready to use the mask before adding the oats to the honey yogurt mixture.
Add additional finely ground lemon peel powder to the mixture for a little stronger exfoliator.
Use the ingredients in the exfoliating mask recipe in the bowl on a regular basis for maximum effectiveness.

All of the ingredients should be thoroughly combined. If the mixture is too wet, add a little more ground oats.

The recipe for a gentle exfoliating mask is now complete.

Apply the mask all over your face, avoiding the eyes and lips. When applying, massage in a circular motion. Allow 20-30 minutes for the mask to set before removing it with warm water and patting dry. After that, apply your regular moisturizer.

Use this recipe twice a week for best results. Isn’t it straightforward? It’s impossible to argue with skincare that tastes good enough to eat. Yes, you can organically exfoliate sensitive skin at home!
